Payment Terms & Conditions

Payment Terms and Clinic Fees

Our clinic is committed to providing high-quality, accessible healthcare while maintaining transparent and fair pricing. Healthcare in New Zealand is partly funded by the government, meaning most residents receive subsidised services. However, a patient contribution is still required at the time of each visit. Patients who are not eligible for funding—including most visitors from overseas—will be charged at private rates. If you are unsure about your eligibility or the cost of your visit, please speak with our reception team before your appointment.

General Payment Guidelines

•    Payment is required on the day of service, prior to consultation or treatment.

•    Accepted payment methods include EFTPOS, credit or debit cards, cash and online transfers.

•    Outstanding balances may be referred to a debt recovery agency, with associated collection costs added to the account.

•    Repeat prescriptions must be paid for prior to being processed or sent to a pharmacy.

•    Non-urgent services may be deferred until overdue balances are cleared.

•    In cases of financial hardship, alternative payment arrangements may be

considered upon request and approved by the Medical Centre Manager.

•    Extended or double appointments attract additional fees.

•    Newly enrolled patients may require a longer first consultation to complete medical history review.

•    Nurse consultations, wound care, vaccinations, and other clinical services are charged separately.

•    Medical consumables, materials, and laboratory items may incur additional charges.

•    Telehealth and phone consultations are billed at the same rate as in-person visits.

•    A minimum of four business hours’ notice is required for appointment cancellations or rescheduling.

•    Missed appointments or late cancellations will incur a DNA charge of $25.

•    Weekends, after-hours, and public holidays will incur additional fees.

•    Patients holding a valid Community Services Card (CSC) are entitled to reduced fees under current government guidelines.

•    Services outside government funding, such as travel medicine, minor surgery, driver’s licence, immigration medicals, administrative forms, and other non-subsidised procedures, are subject to separate fees.
